The Lady Bulldogs get their first win of the season beating Channelview 51-35. Lexi Bearden scored 14 points while Kirby Ritter and Kendall Bullard added 12 and 8 points respectively.
Kendall Bullard also grabbed 7 rebounds and Sophia Christiansen had 6 rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday, November 14 at Kingwood Park. Game time is 7:00pm.

The Lady Bear 7th grade “B” team defeated Magnolia Junior High in three sets with scores of 14-25, 25-14, and 15-11. the Lady Bears played amazing defense and were strong hitters at the net. The Lady Bears were led by Angelina Postel with 6 aces, Britney Albers with 2 kills, and Kailee Aznar with great sets to our hitters. The Lady Bears will play for the District Championship next Wednesday at 5:30 at home. Great job ladies!!

Game Recap

The 7th grade Lady Bear “A” team wrapped up their season last night with a big win against hometown rival, Magnolia Junior High. Winning in two sets, the Lady Bears showed great team work offensively and defensively. Sydney Holland led the team with 4 aces while Mallory Madison and Ava Anderson delivered 3 kills each from the front row.

The Lady Bears finished 7-1 in district play. They will compete next week for 1st place in the district playoff game. Way to go Lady Bears!!

Game Recap

The 8th Grade A team defeated Magnolia Jr High in three exciting games with scores of 25-20, 20-25, and 15-11. Krystal Anne Castaneda did a fantastic job passing on defense. Gracelynn Wiest, Claire McCusker, and Brynn Botkin contributed with kills while Bailey Evertson and Neveah McLemore dominated with setting assists. The overall A team outstanding player of the game was Kaylie Kelton! She led the team in kills, did amazing behind the serving line, and contributed on huge defensive plays. Such a great job A team! Way to finish strong! Play off game is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 6:30 pm at BBJH!!

Game Recap

The 8th grade B team had a huge win last night against Magnolia Jr High to conclude their undefeated district season with scores of 25-22, 23-25, and 15-13. Allie Burdine dominated defense in the back row. Maddie Howes made several key plays and her and Ani Vondrak ran an outstanding offense. Jill Coffman and Payton Moynahan contributed with kills. The outstanding all around player in the game was Kaylie Elmore. She shined offensively, defensively, and behind the serving line. Great job B team! What an amazing season!! Play off game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 5:30 pm at BBJH!

Game Recap

The Bulldogs won in commanding fashion against the Brenham Cubs 44-18. The Game started with an onside kick recovered by Blaine Dunn. a few plaays later, Travis Moore found Nathan Hakes down the sideline for the first score of the game. Later in the 1st, Mitchell Hall pounded the ball in the endzone, and the 2-point-conversion was good on a pass from Moore to Hakes. Hall Found the endzone again in the 2nd quarter on the ground, this time with Justin Sandstedt on the conversion. Brenham scored with 8 seconds remaining in the half to make the score 22-12 at the half. The defenses battled for most of the 3rd quarter until Hall once again found the endzone late in the quarter. The 2-point conversion was good on a pass from Moore to Ben Colligan. On the ensuing possession, linebacker Blaine Dunn stripped the ball from a Brenham ball-carrier and took it 90 yards the opposite direction for a defensive score. The conversion was good on a pass from Moore to Matthew Wykoff. Brenham found the endzone early in the 4th quarter, but Magnolia closed the game out with another touchdown run by Mitch Hall. The Bulldogs finish the season with a record of 7-2 and a district record of 6-1. They finish the season as the 2017 freshmen district champions of 20-5A.

The Bulldogs lost a heart-breaker to the Brenham Cubs 12-18. Treyvion Thomas started off the scoring for the Bulldogs on the first offensive play on a pass from Corbin Boyd. The 2-point-conversion was no good. The defenses swapped possessions until Brenham returned an interception for a touchdown. Late in the 3rd quarter Mitchell Gropp found running back Hunter Cherry on a screen pass to tie the game up. The defense continued to battle hard but the Cubs found the endzone late in the 4th quarter to take the lead. Eduardo Grimaldo stood out defensively with multiple tackles and a forced fumble. Chad Coker had a fumble recovery. The Bulldogs finish the season with an overall record of 5-4 on the season and a district record of 4-2.

Game Recap

Great game all around for the Bulldogs! Touchdowns were scored by the following:
Luke Karnei, Aidan Garrigan, Micahl Suazo, , Nicholas Clifton, Grant Timbes and Chad Bradley with 2. Quarterback Brady Heitzmann threw for 4 TDs.
The coaching staff is extremely proud. The team went 8-1 on the year. Great job guys!!
